McNabb Will Be First QB Domino to Fall

When the 2009-2010 NFL campaign wraps up with either Peyton Manning or Drew Brees hoisting the Lombardi Trophy, the league will immediately enter its often bizarre and always entertaining off-season. And now that the coaching carousel has finally slowed down - with the exception of the ongoing saga called "As the Raiders Turn" - roster maneuvers will be at the forefront for league front offices.

No position is more analyzed or discussed than quarterback. With new defensive contact rules transitioning the majority of professional football games from slugfests to shootouts , the abilities of the man under center has never been more important.

While Brees and Manning aren't going anywhere, a few marquee QBs could be on the move in the coming months. When looking at the league's QB situation, you've got to start in Philadelphia.
Donovan McNabb's 11-year tenure with Philly may finally be coming to a close but he's only one of three Eagles quarterbacks who may be packing their bags. Michael Vick's days in Philly are almost certainly numbered. The St. Louis Rams have been said to be sniffing around, as their general manager has a previous relationship with Vick from their mutual days in Atlanta.

Then there's Kevin Kolb, who has sat behind McNabb for three seasons since being selected from Houston in the second round of the 2007 draft. Kolb played well in spot duty this season and could find himself on the trade block if Andy Reid elects to lock up McNabb to a contract extension.
